2nd Annual Smahrt Girl Foundation Brunch & Ball Gowns Benefit Gala to Fund Scholarships and Programs Supporting Girls

HOUSTON, TX – NOV. 4, 2016 – The Smahrt Girl Foundation announces its 2nd Annual Brunch & Ball Gowns Benefit Gala, January 28, 2017, at the Hotel ZaZa Museum District. The gala features an extravagant afternoon with a lavish brunch, silent auction, giveaways and local entertainment. The formal brunch is the foundation’s flagship fundraising event to support scholarships and programs benefiting girls.
During Brunch and Ball Gowns, the Smahrt Girl Foundation will honor six women leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to supporting and uplifting girls and women through business, philanthropy and community involvement. The honorees are:

- Delesa O’Dell-Thomas, Principal, HISD Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy
- Leticia Plummer, CEO, Maxwello Dental

- Toni Whitaker, Fashion Designer
- Mary Young Police Office, Houston Police Department
